Cancellations and Rescheduling
Due to numerous clients on a regular basis, canceling or rescheduling appointments the same day, sometimes as late as 10 minutes before their scheduled appointment, there will now be a $25 “same day cancellation/rescheduling” fee assessed. This is a common practice in most human medical facilities and is now a policy here.
When a client cancels or reschedules without appropriate notification, it prevents someone else, with possibly a sick animal, to be seen. I have had this situation occur far too often lately and it is very frustrating when I can’t do my job.
This policy is an unfortunate must to try to improve the availability of appointments for the clients that need them.
You will be expected to pay this fee at the time of cancelling/rescheduling. If that is not possible, you will be sent 1 (ONE) statement in an attempt to collect. If this is not paid, you will be unable to schedule another appointment until your account is up to date.
If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, the fee will be increased to $35.
Finally, for your information, the computer keeps track of appointments that have been cancelled and have not been kept. After 3 of them, you will no longer be able to make an appointment and will have to wait in the office to be sen or drop the pet off with a $250 deposit.
