Estimates and Payments
To the valued clients of Animal Clinic of Edgewater:
Due to the rising costs of running a medical facility and the current state of the economy, an estimate will be provided for medical services/supplies for most procedures. It is the client’s responsibility, however, to advise us if there are any financial restraints prior to any procedures being performed, even simple vaccines.
I will, or the attending veterinarian will, do my best to provide an estimate but if it is overlooked and there is a concern of what the bill may be, please do not wait until after the procedures have been performed to notify us that there is only a certain amount you can afford. We understand and pass no judgement. We can generally figure something out if it is discussed in advance. Payment is due upon services rendered so please keep us informed to avoid any misunderstandings.
Lastly, due to numerous clients in the past authorizing estimates and the client subsequently declining to pay for the work that has been done, payment is required before procedures are performed. This is not meant to be taken personally. It is just a policy that had to be instituted and will be used the same for everyone. Even the smallest of procedures, ie drop off fecal exams, will have to be paid up front.
I thank you for your understanding and continued support.
