Our 3 Visitors
Here at the Animal Clinic of Edgewater we are trying to help one of our clients that has fallen on some VERY HARD times. She recently lost her husband which ended up in her losing a lot more than that. She lost her house and just last week underwent surgery to amputate her foot. She is now in a nursing home for at least a month.
I was enlisted to help in this situation as she had no place for her 3 lovely dogs. All 4 were homeless but our client agreed to go in to the hospital for the amputation, which saved her life, only if there was a place for her beloved pets. We graciously agreed to help out.
However, when they all arrived at the clinic and were checked out for the safety of our other boarders, all 3 were found to have intestinal parasites as well as heartworms. They are unable to be fostered safely in their current condition. We here at Animal Clinic of Edgewater want to be able to treat all 3 dogs and keep them until their owner is out of the hospital and has new accommodations.
The length of stay including the current length of stay is at least 2 months. It is going to require quite a bit of money to treat all 3 dogs and care for them for their owner who loves them dearly and has suffered so much. We would like to enlist the help of pet lovers everywhere to donate whatever they can to treat, house, and care for these lovely dogs now and after leaving our care.
